Easy to make and even easier to enjoy, these egg rolls are sure to be a hit!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 6 oz crab meat, drained and flaked
  • 2 green onions, thinly sliced
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp soy sauce
  • 1/2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 12 egg roll wrappers
  • Vegetable oil, for frying
  • Optional dipping sauce: sweet chili sauce or soy sauce

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Filling: In a bowl, combine the cream cheese, crab meat, green onions, garlic, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until smooth.
  2. Assemble the Egg Rolls: Lay an egg roll wrapper on a flat surface. Place about 2 tablespoons of the filling in the center of the wrapper. Fold the bottom corner up over the filling, then fold the sides in and roll tightly. Use a bit of water to seal the edges.
  3. Fry the Egg Rolls: In a large skillet or deep fryer, heat about 1 inch of vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C). Carefully place the egg rolls in the hot oil and fry for 2-3 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and crispy.
  4. Drain and Serve: Remove the egg rolls from the oil and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil. Serve with your favorite dipping sauce.

Notes

  • Use Room Temperature Cream Cheese: Softened cream cheese is easier to mix and will give you a smoother filling.
  • Don’t Overfill the Wrappers: Too much filling can make the egg rolls difficult to roll and may cause them to burst while frying.
  • Seal the Edges Well: Use a bit of water to seal the edges of the egg roll wrappers to prevent the filling from leaking out.
  • Monitor the Oil Temperature: Keep an eye on the oil temperature to ensure the egg rolls cook evenly and don’t burn
