Description

Crispy Pepper Jelly Air Fryer Pinwheels are a delightful blend of sweet, spicy, and crispy goodness. These bite-sized treats are perfect for a quick snack, an appetizer for a party, or a fun addition to your meal prep. Made with a few simple ingredients and cooked to perfection in the air fryer, these pinwheels are sure to be a hit with everyone.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 tube (8 oz) crescent roll dough
  • 1/2 cup pepper jelly
  • 1/2 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup chopped green onions
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • Optional: 1/4 cup chopped cooked bacon

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Dough: Unroll the crescent roll dough and press it into a rectangle on a lightly floured surface.
  2. Spread the Jelly: Spread the pepper jelly evenly over the dough, leaving a small border around the edges.
  3. Add the Filling: In a bowl, mix together the cream cheese, cheddar cheese, green onions, salt, and black pepper. Spread this mixture evenly over the pepper jelly.
  4. Roll and Cut: Starting from the long side, roll the dough tightly into a log. Cut the log into 1-inch slices.
  5. Air Fry: Place the pinwheels in the air fryer basket, making sure they are not overlapping. Air fry at 375°F (190°C) for 8-10 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy.
  6. Serve: Let the pinwheels cool for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy!

Notes

  • Use Room Temperature Ingredients: Make sure your cream cheese is softened to room temperature for easier spreading.
  • Chill the Dough: If the dough becomes too soft to handle, chill it in the fridge for 10-15 minutes before rolling.
  • Avoid Overcrowding: Make sure the pinwheels are not overlapping in the air fryer basket to ensure even cooking.
  • Adjust Cooking Time: Air fryers can vary, so keep an eye on the pinwheels and adjust the cooking time as needed.
