Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground turkey
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • Optional: marinara sauce for serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Mix the Ingredients: In a large bowl, combine the ground turkey, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, mozzarella cheese, egg, garlic, onion, parsley, salt, black pepper, and oregano. Mix well until all the ingredients are evenly incorporated.
  3. Form the Meatballs: Using your hands, form the mixture into meatballs about 1.5 inches in diameter. Place them on the prepared baking sheet.
  4. Bake: Drizzle the meatballs with olive oil and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until they are golden brown and cooked through.
  5. Serve: Let the meatballs cool for a few minutes, then serve with marinara sauce or your favorite dipping sauce. Enjoy!

Notes

  • Use Fresh Herbs: Whenever possible, use fresh herbs for the best flavor.
  • Avoid Overmixing: Be gentle when mixing the ingredients to avoid tough meatballs.
  • Uniform Size: Make sure all the meatballs are roughly the same size to ensure even cooking.
  • Check Internal Temperature: Use a meat thermometer to check that the internal temperature of the meatballs reaches 165°F (74°C).
